Zendaya seems to have noticed the term “Zendaya pregnant” trending around the internet Tuesday.
“See this is why I stay off Twitter,” the Euphoria star wrote on her Instagram story on Wednesday, “just making things up for no reason…weekly.”
Yahoo Entertainment has reached out to the actress’ reps for further comment.

The Euphoria star, 25, was the subject of a viral video that made it look like she’d posted a picture from an ultrasound before abruptly cutting to Kris Jenner dancing and lip-synching to the song “Lady Marmalade.” The Jenner portion is part of a trend called “Krissed,” the equivalent of a “rickroll” in 2022. So, yes, it was fake.
All of this leads to Zendaya not having a baby with her Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Tom Holland. But they’re still a couple, and she publicly wished him a happy birthday earlier this month.

Zendaya, who moved to Los Angeles when she was 12 to pursue a career in entertainment, told Allure in November 2019 that she values the privacy that being an actress gives her, as opposed to a musical performer. (She’s done both, releasing a self-titled album in 2013 and also singing on her HBO show.)
“There’s a level of privacy that I think actors understand that musical artists don’t have,” she told the magazine. “They don’t have a character to hide behind, so they have to be very open. [As actors] we’re getting a bit of a breakup.”
However, she acknowledged at the time that social media made it difficult. And she certainly has a lot of fans there counting 20.9 million followers on Twitter and 145 million on Instagram.
