The romance novelist, who went missing after leading police on a high-speed chase through a Wyoming national park, was found safe on Friday, police confirmed to The Post.

Jackson police have not said where Faleena Hopkins, 52, was found, but members of the press and citizens helped law enforcement locate her 18 days after her disappearance.

“She is safe and her family has been notified. She is no longer listed as a missing person,” said Lt. Russ Ruschill told Fox News in a statement.

Hopkins — known for coining the term “cocky” in her raunchy series Cocker Brother — disappeared on Jan. 27, the day she was released from prison for her dramatic run-in with Wyoming police.

Hopkins is known for attempting to trademark the word “cocky” for her books about the Cocker Brothers. Facebook

Three days earlier she had received a ticket for driving an “unsnowed vehicle on a snowed route” after her car got stuck and required a snow plow to be removed.

After releasing her, officers tried again to stop her while she was parked “on the freeway at Jackson Lake Junction in Grand Teton National Park,” but Hopkins drove away.

She led police on a 24-mile chase – with top speeds of 90mph – through the park that only ended when officers used spiked strips to deflate their tires.

Hopkins was charged with stopping or parking in the lane, fleeing or attempting to avoid police, and driving above the posted speed limit.

She was jailed until January 30, when friends and family concerned about her erratic behavior said it was the last they had heard from her.

That day, Hopkins allegedly bought a new cell phone with a new number, police told Fox News. Officers tracked her to Jackson Airport but lost her until her new cellphone pinged on February 14 on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

Hopkins was scheduled to appear in court on February 28 for the incident. IMDB

Hopkins is a well-known novelist with nearly 50 titles on her Amazon page.

She trademarked the word “Cocky” — which she coined in her 22-book series Cocker Brothers — in 2018, sparking a widespread controversy dubbed Cockygate.

Hopkins cracked down on other authors using her work in their own romance titles, a move that caused major upheaval in the romance industry and led Hopkins to eventually abandon trademark registration.

Hopkins is yet to appear in federal court for a arraignment by 10 a.m. on Feb. 28.
