WWE Unveils Official Clash At The Castle Poster

Following last night’s SummerSlam event, the Main Event for WWE’s Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event became official after The Tribal Chief, Head of the Table, defeated Roman Reigns, The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar in an epic Last Man Standing Match would have. Scottish warrior Drew McIntyre, who defeated Sheamus in an Old Fashioned Donnybrook match on SmackDown, will take on undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his two coveted titles.

Now that the main event is settled, WWE unveiled the poster for September’s Clash at the Castle event starring Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns. Clash at the Castle will be streamed live from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on September 4th on Peacock TV in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. This will be the first UK PPV in almost twenty years since Raw-exclusive Insurrextion PPV in 2003. Additionally, Clash at the Castle will be the first jointly branded PPV in the UK, as has every PPV since the original branding extension in 2002, exclusively for Monday Night “Raw” or Friday Night “Smackdown”.

It won’t be the first time in these twenty years that WWE has ventured into the UK scene, having operated the NXT UK brand for almost five years. NXT UK has its takeover PPVs and has held them in places like Cardiff and Blackpool. On NXT UK, stars like Gunther, Butch and Pretty Deadly all made their names known to WWE before coming to the States to compete on Raw, Smackdown and NXT 2.0.

It’s unclear what else is currently planned for Clash at the Castle; Alongside McIntyre vs. Reigns, however, we’re expected to see both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships at stake, and of course the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
