WWE: Liv Morgan beats Ronda Rousey, victory marred by sensational referee error

Liv Morgan is defending the title against one of the toughest opponents she could have ever chosen, former champion Ronda Rousey, who herself “snapped” the Money in the Bank belt thanks to the briefcase. The champion is on her first big date with the title for life and there was plenty of anticipation to find out how her first defense would go.

The match was largely dominated by Ronda Rousey, who tormented Liv Morgan with her submissions and particularly terrible armbars. At one point, paramedics even asked Liv if she wanted to abandon the match, but she refused to give up despite visible ailments.

Incredibly, just as Liv was subjected to another arm bars by Ronda Rousey, the champion managed to get up and carry Ronda with his back to the ground. Liv had basically resigned, but the ref focused on Ronda’s shoulders and committed to the 3 count, not realizing that a moment before the 3 arrived, the tap was out.

After the match, Ronda Rousey literally went nuts. He first attacked Liv Morgan and then the referee. Her anger only subsided when some officers stepped in behind the scenes and made her think.
