• Fight for the WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) defeats Sami Zayn

Roman Reigns defended the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn in a match that featured numerous twists and turns and dramatic moments centered around the company’s hottest history.

Montreal native Zayn was joined by a hometown audience who watched every Helluva Kick, Bluethunder Bomb and Exploder Suplex Sam rallied against WWE’s top star.

The underdog made multiple threats to upset Reigns, but Jimmy Uso came to the rescue.

Jimmy hit Zayn with three Super Kicks and a Uso Splash before placing Reigns on Zayn. Sami got out and was then able to survive a spear.

Roman had a chair in hand after a second referee was knocked out and this time it was the contradictory Jey Uso who arrived. In a repeat of the scenario Reigns presented to Zayn at last month’s Royal Rumble match, Reigns handed the chair to Jey and asked him to hit Zayn. When Jey refused, Reigns began shoving Jey’s face. Zayn then grabs a spear but accidentally hits Jey Uso.

Reigns landed another javelin to win the match and continue his 900+ day title reign. Kevin Owens then came to Zayn’s rescue, allowing Zayn to land a Helluva Kick on Reigns to end the night.
