“I was a 17-year-old teenager when I lost my virginity to a 30-year-old boy,” the 22-year-old told The Daily Star in England. “Like many women, I was cheated on. The young woman, who is originally from Brazil but lives in Miami, admits she had the surgery because she wants to have a special moment.

“Now I can lose my virginity to someone special. Unfortunately, like many women, I think that moment was stolen from us.”
The expensive medical procedure involves removing a thin layer of tissue from the vaginal wall to rebuild the membrane that partially covers the opening of the orifice.
John Skevofilax, chief surgeon at Signature Clinics in the UK, told the Chron that cases of hymen reconstruction have increased over the years. Demand for labiaplasty doubled in August, the specialist said.
