The Mexican band RBD, founded from the telenovela Rebelde, announced the dates of the reunion world tour this Thursday (January 19). Beginning in August this year, the group will perform in the United States, Brazil and Mexico. So far, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo are the only Brazilian cities with confirmed shows, and Brasília which has been on all of the group’s tours has been left out.

Of the six original members, only Alfonso Herrera, who played Miguel, will not take part in the tour. Anahí, Dulce Maria, Maite, Christian and Christopher are confirmed. In Brazil, the concerts will take place on November 17th at Allianz Parque in São Paulo and on November 19th at Estádio Engenhão in Rio de Janeiro.

Advance ticket sales will take place on January 24th and 25th and for the general public from January 27th. Watch the announcement video:

Historical shows in Brasilia

The tour, dubbed Y Soy Rebelde, will be the group’s first since the Adeus Tour in 2008. At that time there were seven presentations in Brazil. In Brasilia, the group performed at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson on November 30.

The group had previously held three other presentations in the federal capital. The first on September 24, 2006 at the Estádio Mané Garrincha during the Tour Brasil. The following year, the group returned to Brazil with the Tour Celestial, with a presentation in Brasília on October 28, 2007 at the home of Ginásio Nilson Nelson.

The third performance, which most people remember, took place on April 21, 2008 in the Esplanada dos Ministérios to celebrate the 48th anniversary of Brasília. That day, the group brought more than 250,000 people under the hot sun of the federal capital. . . A DVD, Live in Brasília, was released from the free presentation in March 2009.
