Amidst the green card application process in the United States, various categories of immigrants can use the well-known I-360 form. This is a document related to the American, widow or special immigrant petition.
The United States National Immigration and Citizenship Service (USCIS) clarified that the petition is used to classify an alien in the following manner.
First: American (born after 12/31/1950 and before 10/23/1982).
Second: Widower or widow of a US citizen.
Third: VAWA self-applicant who is a battered or abused spouse of a US citizen or lawful permanent resident under VAWA.
Room: VAWA self-applicant who is the child of an abusive citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Fifth: VAWA self-applicant who is the battered or abused parent of a US citizen child 21 years of age or older or special immigrant.
In this latter case, the following numbers are defined as special immigrants. A religious worker or employee of the Panama Canal Company, Canal Zone government employee, United States government employee in the Canal Zone.
Other special cases of immigrants
This category also includes a medical practitioner licensed in any state of the United States on January 9, 1978. Another case is an employee of an international organization or a NATO 6 employee or family member.
Also on the list is a young man who needs juvenile court protection for abuse. You also qualify if you have been neglected or abandoned by a parent or member of the armed forces.
According to USCIS, nationals in Iraq and Afghanistan, among others, qualify for the green card with their special requirements.
Completing Form I-360 correctly reduces the likelihood of delays or errors in communicating with USCIS. Beginning February 10, self-applicants, abused spouses, children, and parents must submit Form I-360 to the Nebraska Service Center. The same applies to petitions for Americans, widows or special immigrants.
