What to do in Rome on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November
The first Sunday of the month is synonymous with free museums, so an appointment in many of the capital’s museums. The weekend is also an opportunity to visit the new exhibitions that have arrived in the city, from the great artists to the personalities who have made music history, there is something for everyone. Free museums
The first Sunday of the month, November 6th, offers residents and non-residents of Rome the opportunity to visit the Civic Museums, current exhibitions and some archaeological sites for free: the Circus Maximus (from 9.30am to 4pm, last entry at 3pm) and the Imperial Forums (entrance from Trajan’s Column 9.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m., last entry one hour before). New Van Gogh weekend at Palazzo Bonaparte, one of the most anticipated major autumn exhibitions in Rome. On Sunday November 6th, an excursion is planned in an enchanted forest between streams and centuries-old chestnut trees, where you can admire the foliage and (if you are lucky) the golden eagle. The excursion takes place in the Obito forest along its stream and revives stories of transhumance and rural life, passing through the ancient millstone and the Romanesque bridge, looking for the golden eagle that nests in the reserve on Mount Cervia, and even for chestnuts between the centuries – ancient chestnut forests admiring the colors of autumn.
