Wild spring break revels in wet t-shirt contests, twerking and kissing on the beach as the annual party returns to bigger than ever after two years of COVID cancellation.

  • Students swam in Miami Beach and South Padre Island during the first spring break after the pandemic.
  • Approximately 570,000 students will vacation in the Sunshine State.
  • The population of Port Aranas, Texas is expected to increase from 3,000 to 350,000 in March.
  • Music by Don Toliver and Steve Aoki played at Clayton’s Beach Bar on South Padre Island.
  • Students from all over the country are expected to come for sun, sand and leather.

Spring Break has been seen enjoying wet t-shirt contests, twerking and public kissing sessions as the annual party is back to bigger than ever after a two-year COVID lull.

Hotels were booked in Miami Beach and South Padre Island, Texas, causing the population of both resort towns to swell with young men and women looking to break out for a few days of partying on the beach.

The population of Port Aranas, located on a barrier island north of South Padre, will increase from 3,000 to 350,000, according to the local chamber of commerce. On Thursday, one woman was seen participating in a wet T-shirt contest to the applause of hundreds of spectators.

About 570,000 students will go to Florida, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The boys in shorts enjoyed watching the ladies play full-contact toss-and-grab beach soccer, a sport in which two people lie face to face with the crowd sipping from red Solo glasses surrounding them, someone tossing a soccer ball in the middle, and two compete for the ball. The one who receives it must run past the “tackle”.

At Clayton’s Beach Bar in Texas, they were ready for the first full year when students were finally able to have some fun like they did in 2019.

“Looks like the state is reopening… Looks like people want to get out. Children, they were locked in their dorm rooms. We hope to see spring break back to normal,” club owner Clayton Brashear told KIII 3News.

This week saw revelers dancing to the tunes of Don Toliver and Steve Aoki.

Of course, nothing says spring break like a wet t-shirt contest, and the kids at the South Padres made sure to continue that tradition.

The ladies seemed too willing to stand on the stage to freshen up.

Of course, there were many acquaintances. Couples have kissed on the beach, in bars, and wherever sparks have ever flown between the sexes.
