Wendy Williams’ financial advisor claims she’s a ‘prisoner in her own home’

Wendy Williams’ financial adviser, Lori Schiller, claims she had to hire armed security guards to protect herself and her family after receiving death threats.

The financial adviser told Page Six she was a “prisoner in her own home” after Wendy publicly slammed her in February and called her a “disgruntled” former employee.

Lori told the outlet that she wasn’t fired and is still an advisor to Wendy on her account.

“I have 24/7 armed cops outside my house checking everyone who comes to my front door,” Lori told Page Six.

“It’s starting to affect my life. I’m a prisoner in my own house,” and that continuing to work on Wendy’s account has “endangered” her and her family due to the death threats.

“I kind of live in my personal hell here,” she said.

Lori claims she wasn’t fired from the account and is the lead financial advisor to Wendy; There is a guard who serves as a link between the host and the bank.

She says she’s had “consistently positive” conversations with Wendy and has been “close” to her for 12 years.

In February, Wells Fargo froze her accounts after Lori claimed Wendy was “insane,” which Wendy publicly denied, according to Page Six.

Wendy filed an affidavit for an injunction against the bank in the New York Supreme Court in February after denying her request for access to her bank accounts; The bank claimed they needed guardianship.

In February, the talk show host publicly claimed she fired Lori, which Lori now denies and says she wasn’t fired.

“Everything I did was obey the law to the last detail and I was commended by Wells Fargo for all my efforts. I gave them plenty of time and came to my defense and made a statement and for some reason they just put it aside.

Lori’s attorney, Anthony Mango, also clarified to the outlet that Wells Fargo was seeking guardianship, not his client.

On Thursday, Wendy gave fans another preview of her upcoming podcast in a photo slideshow shared to Instagram.

Williams has been “at home and healed” for the past two weeks after re-entering rehab in September after a series of erratic behavior and allegations of substance abuse.

‘About last night… Team WENDY!’ Williams captioned Thursday’s post. She was joined on the podcast set by her publicist Shawn Zanotti, as well as jeweler William Selby and her friend Keesha Anderson.

She added the hashtags “#WendyWilliams #TheWendyExperience #allthingswendy #Howyoudoing #TeamWendy” and “#StayTuned”.

Williams has been promoting “The Wendy Experience” since July, but her latest post suggests the first episode has finally picked up.

On the official Instagram for the podcast, it’s described as Williams’ ‘new wave’ and something that ‘will be unforgettable’.

Williams’ publicist Zanotti confirmed to E! News last month that the star had completed her latest stint in rehab and was looking forward to getting back on track.

“Wendy is excited about the future and looking forward to sharing her many projects,” said Zanotti.

She continued, “She wants to say, ‘Thank you to my fans for your love, support and lots of prayers, I’m back and better than ever.’

Zanotti confirmed to The Sun last month that Williams entered a “spa” to “manage her general health issues.”

She was “treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world,” Zanotti told the outlet, adding that Williams was “preparing for a big comeback for the next stage of her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast.”

Details about the facility or its location were not disclosed.

Williams has been treated at locations in New York and Florida in the past.

At the time, a source told Page Six that Williams’ substance issues “got worse” as “she came off.” [drinking] wine to pure vodka.’

Williams struggled to control her drinking, which was detrimental to her overall health, which a source described as “failing.”

They added: “She can’t stop drinking and she needs to stop drinking; it only worsens their health.”

Sources told Page Six that the production company for her one-off series, Debmar-Mercury, “refused” to help in efforts to get William’s help with her troubles. The source said, “They turned their backs on her” and “had too much control over someone so vulnerable.”

Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter, 50, told the outlet last July that “Debmar would not support Wendy’s recovery efforts with the family” as “they would not sign anything that would have helped their recovery efforts.”

Hunter told the outlet about a meeting between company officials and William’s relatives, where they discussed her fight against drinking.

“They sat at a meeting with their entire family, including their mother, who has since died, and they didn’t want to sign off on the recovery efforts that would have helped Wendy get well and live and be sober,” Hunter said. “They basically said, ‘If you don’t stop drinking, you’re going to lose the show.’

An insider told the outlet in August that “things are really getting out of hand” for Williams, who said last month that she was married to an NYPD officer.

“It’s not the same Wendy … she’s been going back like crazy and her family in Florida is very worried about her,” a source told Page Six in August.

Williams has dealt with drug issues in the past, as she was able to achieve an extended period of sobriety until around late 2018/early 2019, when she took a two-month break from filming to enter a transitional home.

She said on her show in March 2019: “Only Kevin knows about it. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here. After completing my appointments…I am driven back to a house where I live by my 24-hour sober coach [Tri-state area] with some stinky boys who’ve become my family.’
