Warwick Davis pays tribute to soap star daughter Annabelle as she makes her Hollyoaks debut as Lacey
Warwick Davis paid tribute to his daughter Annabelle on Wednesday as she made her Hollyoaks debut.
The actress, who was born with Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita (SED), a rare genetic form of dwarfism, made her debut on the Channel 4 soap opera as Lacey this week.
Warwick, 52, showed his support, writing on Twitter: “Calling to my daughter @AnnabelleLDavis who is making her debut on the British soap opera @Hollyoaks tonight. I’ve never seen the show but I’ll see it tonight!’

She is believed to be the first Hollyoaks actress with dwarfism.
Lacey and her new friend Rayne, played by Jemma Donovan, will move into a house with Romeo (Owen Warner), Prince (Malique Thompson Dwyer) and Nadira (Ashling O’Shea).
Fiercely loyal, Lacey is a great friend who provides calm and common sense while best friend Rayne causes chaos.
An engaging, outspoken and fun paralegal, Lacey will be applying for a position at Dee Valley Law, but will she manage to keep her cool when under James’ eye.

Speaking about joining the Channel 4 soap, Annabelle, 25, said: “So glad you’re meeting Lacey! She is fun, career oriented, is studying to be a lawyer and is now looking for a job. Fingers crossed that she understands…
“I’ve had a great time filming with the Hollyoaks gang and I’m also looking forward to what Lacey will come up with.”
Annabelle also appeared on This Morning and said: “I’ve been filming for a couple of days so far. It’s very different making a soap opera than making movies because it’s much faster while leaving a lot of time between scenes for movies.

She added: “At Hollyoaks, no two days are the same”
Annabelle is best known for her roles as Sasha Bellman on The Dumping Ground and Mims Ufgood on the new TV series Willow.
In addition, Annabelle is a proud ambassador for Little People UK.
The actress’ father is tough star Warwick Davis, best known for his role in Harry Potter.
Warwick was born with Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita (SED), a rare genetic form of dwarfism inherited from both Annabelle and Harrison.
Annabelle and her brother Harrison inherited their father’s condition and are both aspiring actors who have also appeared in Harry Potter.
Warwick and his “soulmate” Samantha met on the set of Willow as teenagers and have been married for 31 years.
Samantha, 16 when they met and daughter of co-star Peter Burroughs, played an extra role in the film and the couple fell in love and dated for four years before marrying in 1991.
Sam has achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism.
Hollyoaks airs each week at 7pm on E4 and 6.30pm on Channel 4
