Video shows a teenage gunman killing 11 people in California

Brandon Tsay, 26, told the New York Times about the collision with the shooter, identified as 72yearold Huu Can Tran. The armed attack claimed eleven dead and nine others wounded.
On Saturday night (21), Brandon met Huu Can Tran at the Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio. The young man was accompanying the dancers when he saw the suspect pointing a gun.
“My heart froze, I knew I was going to die,” he told the NYT. “That moment was instinctive. Something happened. I don’t know what came over me.”
He says he lunged at the man, grabbed the gun’s barrel and began a fight for his life. Tsay later learned that Huu Can Tran had massacred another similar home in Monterey Park.
The young man claims that it was clear that the shooter was not there to steal but to kill.
“They were looking for people by their body language, their facial expressions, their eyes,” he said.
Security footage shows the two fighting for about 90 seconds before he takes the suspect’s gun. Immediately, he aimed it at the shooter and yelled, “Go away, get out of here.”
The suspect then fled. Hours later, Huu Can Tran was found dead after shooting himself in a white pickup truck during a police stop in Torrance, several kilometers south, on Sunday afternoon.
The motive for the attack in California is still unknown, according to police. Officials believe the gunman intended to carry out a similar massacre at the Alhambra.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said two people disarmed the suspect at the Alhambra, but Tsay and her family, who run the party house, said the video showed he fought the killer alone.
