Singer Péricles was attacked last Thursday evening (02/16) in front of his wife and daughter. The thieves took his Land Rover Discover, valued at BRL 300,000, in addition to documents and clothing found in the vehicle. The crime took place in front of a house in Vila Camilópolis, in the São Paulo metropolitan area.
A video posted to social media shows the moment the samba dancer gets into the vehicle with his family and is approached by two gunmen. Despite the horror, no one was injured.
According to the SSP (Secretary of Public Security), the 53yearold singer and his wife, 43, went to the police station and said they were leaving a relative’s home when they were surprised by at least two men, one of them armed them, who announced the attack.
The gunman stole the belongings and fled in the victim’s car, according to the secretariat. The second author stayed in a Fiat Uno vehicle providing coverage.
The case was registered by the 2nd DP of Santo André and is being investigated.
Several people, anonymous and famous, have sent messages of support to the singer on social networks, but so far he has not commented on the case.
The car was found dismantled, practically without parts, this Friday morning (02/17) in the east zone of São Paulo. The police are still investigating the crime.
