We are approaching World Youth Day, although there are still a few months to go, and 400,000 young people have already registered. But the young man who comes is because he is fundamentally thirsty to participate, to share, to tell his experiences and to receive the experiences of the other. He thirsts for horizons.
You young people, already 400,000 registered, thirst for horizons. In this meeting, in this day, learn to always look to the horizon, always to look beyond. Don’t build a wall in front of your life. The walls enclose you, the horizon lets you grow! Always look to the horizon, with your eyes, but above all with your heart! Open your heart! To other cultures, to other boys and girls, so that they too can come to this day.

A little over six months after the event, the young people registered through the dioceses, movements and associations are preparing with formation meetings on the theme of WYD 2023 – “Maria si alzò e andò in fretta” (Lk 1:39) – “Mary got up and walked in haste” (Lc 1:39) – organizing solidarity initiatives with enthusiasm and creativity to cover the cost of the journey.
Registrations are still ongoingand the Holy Father hopes that many young people will still listen to his “urge to participate, to care, to tell his experience and to receive the experience of the other”.
Participated as a member of the Salesian youth movement, registration via the MJS reference group itself is required. The registration of the SYM pilgrims on the platform of the World Youth Day in Lisbon 2023 will be carried out by the organization WYD DON BOSCO 23.
