The dream of another tattoo on her body became a horror for a 20yearold English woman. The image engraved on the skin started to rot and she accuses the tattoo artist of doing the job poorly and without the necessary hygiene. The case was so serious that the young woman thought she was going to die.
It all started when Suraya Khan decided to tattoo the word “alone” with a heart instead of the letter O, which means “alone” in Portuguese on her arm. She tried to make an appointment with the professional who had done her other tattoos, but since the tattoo artist’s schedule was full, she decided to take the risk and do it with another professional.
However, the decision was wrong. “The artist was dirty,” he told an English newspaper. In a video posted on TikTok, Suraya shows the development of the damage to her arm. First the stain swelled, then a wound formed, scab over the ink. An abscess began to ooze, blood oozed out, and some ink came out of the bandage. Suraya says she can’t move her arms.
After so much suffering and fear of sepsis (blood poisoning) she went to see a doctor. The infection in the arm reversed after two weeks of antibiotic treatment. About six months later, she had another professional redo the tattoo in the area that was bumpy.
