It appears Quando Rondo was reportedly a target in a drive-by shooting that took place last night in Los Angeles, California.
Videos released by Fox 11 Los Angeles and ABC7 on Friday night (Aug. 19) show who Quando Rondo appears to be at the scene with police after a member of his entourage was shot dead in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles and West ended up in Hollywood afterwards and later died in a local hospital.
In the ABC7 video report and clip, the person who appears to be Rondo can be seen screaming frantically as officers pulled a body from the vehicle that was being shot at.
According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, an Atlanta rapper, who has not yet been formally identified by police as Quando Rondo, and his crew were refueling at a gas station when three men in a white vehicle pulled up next to the rapper’s black Cadillac Escalade and found open fire. The Escalade takes off and lands near the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevards in West Hollywood, where around 5:30 p.m. someone called the police for help
ABC7 reported that a 23-year-old man was pulled from the vehicle and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
John Radke, Lt. Los Angeles Police Department said the three suspects opened fire at the gas station from their car and shot the victim while she was in the SUV. It is unclear whether there was an exchange of fire. The shooters remain at large.
“We don’t know why or how this happened, we only know that the victim’s vehicle, they stopped, they were pumping gas and it looks like they probably pumped out the gas and the suspects, who are moving away from the alley, got out of the car and started shooting at these victims,” Radke told the news agency.
