CARACAS, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) — The government of Venezuela expressed its strongest condemnation of Israeli operations on Palestinian territory, which recently killed nine people and injured more than 20, and called on nations to respect international law in Palestine enforce.

In an official statement released today by the Foreign Ministry, the Venezuelan government described the military attack as a “bloody operation” and denounced that “the attack also targeted a local hospital, affecting the patients who were staying at the health center.”

Caracas denied the actions prevented humanitarian rescue efforts by aid organizations at the health center.

“These acts of violence are proof of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government’s criminal network against the Palestinian people and of the flagrant violation of international law by the Israeli occupying power in the State of Palestine,” the government of the South American country stressed.

The text says that Venezuelans are raising their voices “in defense of peace and international security, to condemn the ongoing Israeli crimes on Palestinian territory.”

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela calls on the international community to intensify its efforts in defense of the international principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations,” the statement said.

Finally, Caracas wished “the speedy restoration of absolute peace throughout the Palestinian territory.”
