Vehicle stolen in Laval: Two suspects arrested after robbery at Ontario store

York, Ontario Regional Police arrested two men after a burglary at a north Toronto mall in early February and is still actively searching for another.

As reported by the Global News Network, Israel Muamba and O’Brian Grant have been arrested in Montreal and Ottawa in connection with the incident in which they allegedly used a black Audi car to break down the doors of the mall that had just been stolen in Quebec .

Both face numerous charges, including burglary and trespassing, theft and public mischief worth over $5,000, and dangerous driving.

A federal arrest warrant has been issued for the third suspect. It would be Lesane Pillay, a man in his twenties. Police said the investigation led them to believe he was in the Montreal area.

The two suspects are being taken to the Regional Municipality of York, a Toronto suburb, for hearings.

A vehicle owned by a woman from Laval

The 2011 Audi A4 used in the incident was allegedly stolen a few days earlier from a woman living in Laval when she loaned it for a test drive. She had posted the vehicle on Facebook Marketplace.

In an interview, she mentioned that she first met the man in a library near her home. After two test drives in a residential area, he used a moment of inattention on the part of the owner to seize the vehicle and flee.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about the third suspect to get in touch.
