This Valentine’s Day, newly retired quarterback Tom Brady shared a photo of a mysterious love quote on Instagram. Several netizens speculate he is referring to the divorce from his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.

After announcing his divorce from model Gisele Bundchen last October, it’s obvious the celebration of love will be very different for the footballer this time around.
On his Instagram page, Tom Brady posted a 24-hour snapshot of a quote from Sadhguru, a yoga expert and philanthropist, which reads: “Love is not a transaction; it’s a certain exuberance and sweetness of your emotion.”

So Brady could be referring to the transactional aspect of marriage. In fact, Brady and Bundchen announced on social media in October that their divorce was final after 13 years together.
During their union, the couple had two children, daughter Vivian, 10, and son Benjamin, 13. Brady also shares son Jack, 15, with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.
The reason behind Brady and Bundchen’s split is not yet known as the ex-partners have yet to speak publicly about it. Sources say Brady’s decision not to retire last year played a role.
Several American media outlets revealed in September, shortly before the divorce was announced, that the NFL legend and the former Victoria’s Secret angel had been at odds for months.

In public, Brady and Bundchen seem to get along well. After Brady announced he was putting away his shoes for good in an emotional social media video, the 42-year-old model sent the seven-time Super Bowl winner a glowing message.
“Wishing you wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” Gisele Bundchen replied to her post on Instagram.
The announcement of Tom Brady’s retirement came nearly two weeks after he and his Buccaneers teammates were eliminated from the playoffs by the Cowboys.
After their divorce, Brady rented a $70,000 luxury condo. Also, the former soccer player is reportedly not dating anyone at the moment, much to the chagrin of his friends.
Brady, who turns 46 in August, will join Fox Sports Network as senior NFL game analyst after signing a major $375 million contract last May.
