(ANSA) – LONDON, AUGUST 15 – Health authorities in the United Kingdom have approved an updated version of Moderna’s Covid vaccine, specifically designed to combat the Omicron variant as well as the original form of the virus.
The National Medicines Agency (MHRA) said in a statement that it had approved the vaccine for booster doses for adults “after determining that it met the UK regulator’s safety, quality and efficacy standards” and was able to deliver to evoke “strong immune system response” against both strains.
