Uto Ughi: «The mane skins? An attack on culture and art» Fiorentino

The lunge of the famous violinist, 78, artistic director of the special musical events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Chigiana Academy of Music

The presentation for the 100th anniversary of the concert activity of the Accademia Chigiana of Siena, the story about today’s protagonists of symphonic music, then the sudden and disturbing digression: «The Maneskins are an attack on culture and art». The provocation bears the signature of Uto Ughiwho had already made unflattering remarks about the band in the past: capable of becoming a reference on the international music scene in just a few years.

The famous violinist, who will be artistic director of the centenary special events, then attempted to correct the shot when asked about the previous statement on the sidelines of the press conference: “I’m not particularly angry with the males; I think every genre has a right to exist, but when they’re making music and not when they’re just screaming.”.
