The Justice Department searched the US President’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, for 13 hours. Six other secret documents were found

NEW YORK — Six other classified files were found in a search by the FBI and Justice Department last Friday about 13 hours at the home of Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. The new files add to those found in Biden’s private office, garage and home as of November 2 and revealed by the media in recent days, for a total of around thirty documents. The search took place in conjunction with the President and his attorneys, who were the first to report the discovery of the initial documents in his private office and in Wilmington.
The media is emphasizing the difference between this case and the files seized at Donald Trump’s home in Florida: the former president is under investigation for obstruction of justice and had about three hundred documents on file, while those in Biden’s possession now total thirty. But at the same time, the image of an incumbent US president’s private residence being searched by the FBI, and the fact that this is the fifth discovery of confidential papers in Biden’s possession, is causing great embarrassment to the tribunal’s public opinion.
Incredibly, an unprecedented thing, Andrew McCabe, former deputy director of the FBI, tells CNN. Biden said Thursday he has no regrets about how his administration has handled news of classified documents. But the White House, which has been criticized for a lack of transparency in the papers found ahead of the midterm elections and news of which only broke two weeks ago, this time chose to make the announcement head on and avoid the media picking it up discover another way. The search could be a way to stop the leaking of new files every day, although no one can rule out that other private properties of the President will also be searched. Biden’s handwritten letters and unclassified documents were also taken, uncertain that they, too, might be destined for the National Archives: Some of the papers date from when Biden was a senator, as well as when he was a vice president. Unlike their attorneys, Biden and his wife Jill were not present at the time of the search. It shows us that the special prosecutor appointed a week ago, Robert Hur, is moving ahead with the investigation.
