Ukrainian army reports increase in own attacks in south

According to their own statements, the Ukrainian armed forces are increasingly taking action against Russian troops in the south of the country.

With the destruction of a railway bridge over the Dnipro River, occupation forces have run out of supplies on the railway, the Ukrainian military said on Saturday. In the Kherson region, Ukrainian forces also killed more than 100 Russian soldiers on Friday and destroyed two ammunition depots and seven tanks.

Ukraine: Use of Western Weapons

In recent weeks, Ukraine had already damaged three bridges on the Dnipro River with Western weapons in order to cut off supplies to Russian troops in the town of Kherson, on the river’s west bank. In return, according to the British Ministry of Defence, Russian troops were likely able to keep traffic flowing across the river with floating bridges and a ferry service. Officials seconded by Russia in occupied areas in southern Ukraine are also expected to prepare referendums on union with Russia before the end of this year.
