Ukrainian actor Pasha Li killed in Russian shelling

Pasha Li, 33, a Ukrainian actor, was reportedly killed Sunday as a result of Russian shelling of northern Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian Odessa International Film Festival and local reports, Li was killed in Irpen after joining the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend the country from a Russian invasion.

In an Instagram post tagged Irpen on Saturday, Lee wrote: “For the last 48 hours, there is the opportunity to sit down and take pictures of us being bombed, and we smile because we will manage, and everything will be UKRAINE. 🇺🇦 WE WORK!!!” according to the translation.

The actor has starred in films such as Reunion, Rules of Combat, Selfie Party and The Bizarre Truth, according to Deadline. He was also a host on the DOM channel and voiced The Lion King and The Hobbit, according to a Facebook post by Serhiy Tomilenko, president of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

At least four civilians were killed in Irpin, west of Kyiv, on Sunday when Russian troops shelled an area used as an escape route. According to The New York Times, Russian invaders have been invading the city for several days.
