Unicef, every fifth family needs mental support
Unicef’s multidisciplinary mobile teams helping thousands of people in Ukraine have estimated that one in five families are in need of mental health support as war continues to disrupt life. Since March 2022, 50 mobile teams assembled by Unicef and the Ukrainian Public Health Foundation have been serving the needs of war-affected families. Each team consists of a psychologist, a social worker, a lawyer and a doctor. According to the teams, the most common requests for help are: medical help (15%), humanitarian help (15%), help with processing social practices (14%), help with employment (8.5%) and finding housing ( 8th%).
