Two dead in a fire in an occupied industrial hall

A middle-aged man and a woman died this morning in a fire in an abandoned industrial warehouse occupied by several people in the Madrid city of Torrejón de Ardoz. Emergency sources from 112 of the Autonomous Community of Madrid have reported that a neighbor gave the notification around two-thirty in the morning after seeing heavy smoke billowing from an abandoned two-storey warehouse on Guadalajara Street between the railway tracks and dormitories.

The ship was manned by an unspecified number of people who had numerous belongings there, including furniture and utensils, the sources have said. Upon arrival, the eight fire brigades of the Autonomous Community of Madrid found a “fairly widespread” fire that developed both inside and on the facade, with “a large fire load” and “quite a lot of smoke coming out of the windows”. . . During the extinguishing work, which was “very complicated”, the fire brigade found the bodies of two deceased people on the ground floor.
