Missing for several weeks
Christopher Parry, 28, and Andrew Bagshaw, 48, who lived in New Zealand before the war, according to media in that country, have been missing for several weeks.
Wagner Group leader Evguéni Prigojine indicated on January 11 that his fighters had found the body of one of them in Soledar.
Soledar, a town of 10,000 before the war, was largely destroyed by bombing in early January and a first humanitarian convoy arrived there last Friday to help the population.
The Russian army and Wagner Group mercenaries announced almost two weeks ago that they have captured this location near Bakhmout, which the Russians have been trying to capture for months. But the Ukrainians did not officially acknowledge his loss, declaring that they continue to fight in its western part.
