Wednesday night’s episode got off to a slow start after Tom Clare ruffled the feathers and hooked up with Olivia Hawkins, leaving Will Young single and vulnerable.
But viewers still weren’t impressed, saying the new winter season was “forced and scripted.”

As events unfolded, a viewer wrote on Twitter: “Look Love Island is usually boring the first week but even the chat is DEAD. The producers have to struggle for content”.
Another chimed in: “All these couples got used to each other way too quickly and it’s boring.”
Other viewers, bored or not, claimed they tuned in anyway.
Another shared her take on couples getting too comfortable and that scenes seemed forced, commenting: “The standard of conversation on this love island is lover than usual, isn’t it? They’re all so boring.’

Love Island fans were equally unimpressed yesterday after Maya Jama, 28, was absent from the second episode of the series on Tuesday – declaring the series ‘boring’ without her.
While the Singletons struggled in their first challenge, Maya jetted back to London before returning to South Africa later that week.
On Twitter, a fan lamented: “Where was Maya Jama tonight, I missed her”.
Another wrote: “Can we have a love island where there are no contestants just an hour maya jama being maya jama please.”
While a third tweeted: “this is so boring where is maya jama”.
Fans flocked to ask where she was when one conjured up their own alternative: “We need a plot twist where Maya Jama can kind of become a bombshell or something. We want to see more’.
Maya took over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore and became an instant hit with viewers.

Meanwhile, Love Island fans on Wednesday declared their love for Will Young after he remained single after bombshell Tom ‘stole’ Olivia from him.
Despite being placed in a vulnerable position, Will took the reconnection in stride, telling Tom that he believed he and Olivia would be a better match.
And as the on-screen events unfolded on Twitter, viewers declared they were “cheering” for him, while others begged the producers to send a “nice girl” for the pawn.
