Tracey E. Bregman presented Emmy as a replacement after she lost the original trophy in Woolsey Fire

“Young and the Restless” actress Tracey E. Bregman was presented with an Emmy trophy on Tuesday’s The Talk to replace one she lost in the Woolsey fire more than four years ago.

The German-born actress, 59, appeared on the CBS daytime show alongside her co-star Christian LeBlanc, 64, who portrays her husband on the long-running soap opera.

“I’d love to award an Emmy for Outstanding Ingenuity in a Daytime Drama Series,” LeBlanc said of the actress, who plays Lauren Fenmore. “But this time it’s from the people you love and respect and cherish: your CBS, your Young and the Restless family, and I’m so honored to give it to you.”

Bregman said she was “so overwhelmed to have this,” adding, “I can’t thank you enough.”

Bregman first won the award for Outstanding Ingenue/Woman in a Drama Series at the 1985 Daytime Emmys; She was subsequently nominated in 1987, 2006, 2008 and 2016.

Bregman told Deadline that she is grateful to the show and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for replacing the lost treasure.

“I was trying not to go into the ugly scream on air,” she said. “Thank you to my young and restless family, NATAS, The Talk and everyone who made this moment possible. My heart is so full.’

NATAS President and CEO Adam Sharp said the academy is “happy” that the Emmy statue is “home where it belongs”.

Sharp added, “We were devastated to learn of the destruction of Tracey’s home and her well-deserved Emmy Award. As confirmed by our jury, the Emmy Statuette is a symbol of her hard work and outstanding dedication to her craft.’

“Yes the loss of my home and my friends houses was devastating and so many precious things were lost that I still reach out and find it’s gone,” she captioned the shot. “As you know, I look for the good in everything, or try to. So many beautiful silver linings, people who met and started the journey and friends who really showed me the true meaning of friendship because of this experience.’

Bregman said there was a “bonding experience” during the rebuilding process, adding that she is “forever grateful” to the firefighters and community members “who have reached out to help all of us, and our neighbors who are responding to showed in such an extraordinary way. ‘
