In a message marking the beginning of the Lunar New Year, Phu Trong stressed that 2023 marks the third year of implementation of the resolution of the 13th PCV National Congress and the Five-Year Plan for Socio-Economic Development 2021-2025.
With the will and determination to develop the country to make it richer, stronger, prosperous and happier, the whole party, the people and the army must keep upholding patriotism and solidarity to overcome difficulties and challenges, he stressed.
The Vietnamese supreme leader, VNA news agency reported, also called for promoting renewal more comprehensively and synchronously, building and protecting the motherland, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, and successfully achieving the set goals.
This will make it possible “to create a driving force for rapid and sustainable development in the coming years and contribute to the construction of an increasingly developed, prosperous and beautiful motherland,” he said.
The CPV Secretary General recalled that the Year of the Tiger 2022 was full of memorable events, with many difficulties and major challenges that arose unexpectedly and seriously affected not only Vietnam but the whole world.
In this particular context, the Party, the people and the army showed patriotism, determination, courage, solidarity, dynamism, creativity and efforts to achieve important and comprehensive achievements, he stressed.
Phu Trong praised and thanked compatriots, comrades and soldiers from across the country for the excellent results and contributions, and conveyed his best wishes for a New Year of the Cat with good health, joy, happiness and prosperity.
