“She hasn’t recovered from her breakup and probably won’t anytime soon,” a longtime friend of the actress told Woman’s Day.

The source also said Toni is “devastated” their split has “become so public” and is struggling to enjoy her work commitments like promoting her latest film The Estate.

“Toni is a miracle, how she can pull herself together and continue to function,” said the friend. “The publicity side of movies is something she usually enjoys, but not when her life is a mess.”

The pair met at the launch of Galafassi’s band’s debut album Metal Detector in Sydney in 2002, and their second meeting took place just days later at a house party.

They were married less than a year after meeting in January 2003 with Buddhist rituals at their property in Berry on the NSW south coast.
