The 2023 award goes to two people this year, Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson.

Berry and Smokey make history by being the first two people to be Co-Honorees and the oldest person of the year so far.

The Motown creator will be the first non-artist to receive the honor, as well as the first honoree not to win a Grammy in a competition.
