Tom Brady is not silent on social media after his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen gave a wide-ranging interview with Vanity Fair.

A day after the 42-year-old supermodel shut down rumors that she had given Brady, 45, an ultimatum to retire, the seven-time Super Bowl champion shared a cryptic quote on his Instagram Story on Thursday about, “the betrayal to endure false friends. ”

“What is success?” began the quote from famous author Ralph Waldo Emerson. “Laugh often and much; Winning the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the esteem of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

“Appreciate the beauty; Finding the best in others; Leaving the world a little bit better, be it through a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed societal condition;

“To know that just one life has breathed easier because you have lived. That should have been successful!”

Brady added three red heart emojis to the post.

The NFL legend has yet to directly address Bundchen’s cover story for Vanity Fair’s April 2023 issue.

Bundchen, being interviewed from Costa Rica, recalled the couple’s drifting apart before Brady’s decision to come out of retirement last March.

The former Victoria’s Secret model said the allegations that she gave Brady an ultimatum – retire or call it quits – were “very hurtful” and “the craziest thing I’ve ever heard”.

Brady announced that he would be retiring “for good” on February 1.

“Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart,” said the supermodel.

“When I was 26 and he was 29, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. Over time, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have to make a choice.

“It doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means you have to have someone who can meet you in the middle so you can be authentic and really live the life you want to live, right? – It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”

Bundchen also vowed to continue supporting Brady after their divorce in October.

“Listen, I always cheered him on and I always would,” she said.

“If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me.

“I want him to achieve and conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I really want with all my heart.”
