The Awkward Moment Karl Stefanovic takes a rare swipe at Today co-host Ally Langdon by calling her “condescending” on air
Karl Stefanovic raised eyebrows when he called his Today co-host Ally Langdon “condescending” during an awkward exchange on air on Tuesday.
The presenters, usually known for their camaraderie, briefly clashed after Langdon corrected weather presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs live on air.
Biggs, a former Miss Universe Australia title winner, was reporting from a luxury resort on Fraser Island when she was suddenly confused.
“Guys, I just want to tell you guys it’s really nice because this resort was actually built after I was born… No, before? No, after that?’ she stammered.
“I don’t know, my brain is coming back from vacation,” chuckled the Perth-born beauty.
Stefanovic burst out laughing as Langdon said: “We can answer that! How old are you again, Scherri-Lee?’

“I’ll be 32 in two weeks, I’m not young!” Biggs blushed.
“Okay, you were born just before the build,” Langdon said softly.
Clearly embarrassed, Biggs explained, “So I was born before [the hotel was built]thanks Ally
Ally stepped in to correct Biggs after she couldn’t figure out if she was born before or after a hotel was built
Ally shrugged and replied with a giggle, “Here to help honey.”
Stefanovic took offense at Langdon’s response and interjected, “Gee, that sounded condescending.”
“I definitely didn’t mean to,” Langdon retorted.
The segment then ended, leaving the awkward encounter unresolved.
