Three supporters of the “Queen of Canada” charged –

Three supporters of Canadian conspiracy theorist Romana Didulo have been charged late last week after an attack on police officers in Peterborough, Ontario, Global News revealed.

Romana Didulo, best known for her links to the QAnon movement and for her opposition to vaccination against COVID-19, had earlier called for her supporters to meet in Peterborough. The purpose of his call: “arrest” City Police Department officers near their Water Street station and wait for the military to arrive to arrest them.

According to information from Global News, Romana Didulo arrived in the city last Saturday in a mobile home with a group of 30 people. His supporters, led by a local resident Frank Curtin, reportedly first gathered in Confederation Park before heading to Water Street Police Station around 1pm.

The latter stood in front of closed doors in the hall. Around 4 p.m., several officers arrived in a vehicle for a shift. Frank Curtin and the other supporters approached them to tell them they were “under arrest.”

Officers then arrested Mr Curtin and another man while a woman tried to stop them. Both men attempted to resist arrest, and Frank Curtin was dragged to the ground by several officers, according to Global News.

Updates were also posted throughout the day on the Twitter account of attorney Caryma Sa’d, a citizen journalist.

Attorney Caryma Sa’d told Global News, “Romana Didulo stayed by her RV and handed her ‘followers’ sardines and vegetables, which were served on paper plates with previously opened water bottles.”

According to Global News, police said they tried to take custody of a protester while officers were surrounded. A demonstrator is said to have hit two officers. Police say a 54-year-old man from Millbrook, Ontario, was arrested and charged with mischief and resisting arrest. According to videos posted on social media, it could be Frank Curtin, according to Global News.

Another 55-year-old man has also been charged with two counts of assaulting police. Both men appeared in court in Oshawa on Sunday.

Romana Didulo would have left the site around 7 p.m. with her mobile home.

An investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be made, according to police, who added that a third man, 31, was arrested on Sunday. He is specifically accused of attacking a peace officer with a gun.

Global News also reported that the Special Investigations Unit is currently investigating the arrest of the 55-year-old man, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an “interaction” with police, according to police.

A counter-protester holding a sign reading “Vaccines Save Lives” is also under investigation and is said to have been attacked. Police are also looking for a man and a woman between the ages of 50 and 65.
