In 2021, Thiaguinho accused and sued his former manager, demanding the return of more than R$9 million allegedly embezzled by him. The singer even filed a complaint against Bruno, accusing him of embezzlement and money laundering. In the bulletin, prepared at the Defraudations Police Station in Rio de Janeiro, the singer said that between 2016 and 2021 Bruno illegally transferred 9 million reals to his own account.

Bruno denied all allegations at the time and also filed a lawsuit against Thiaguinho. In 2022, the judiciary issued several decisions in favor of the former businessman at trial. The final sentence acknowledged there would be no or minimal evidence against Bruno Azevedo and released all of his previously suspended accounts and assets. The judiciary also overturned the request for judicial secrecy filed by the singer in the lawsuit. There have been three appeals against Thiaguinho in total.
