Thiaguinho celebrates 20 years of career with a special on this Wednesday

Thiaguinho’s music career will be taken up again this Wednesday (10th) in “Som Brasil presented: Meu Nome é Thiago André”. The special will be shown after the soap opera Pantanal.

The Presidente Prudente singer in the interior of São Paulo is celebrating his 20th career anniversary this year as he appeared on the reality show Fama in 2002.

In the special, Thiaguinho is interviewed by Pedro Bial and sung some of his biggest hits such as “Caraca, Muleke”, “Falta Você” and “Ousadia e Alegria”.

“It’s an achievement to have a special on TV Globo 20 years later, where it all started. I always wanted to be a musician, I never had any other focus. I wanted to record a CD one day, keep doing TV shows, get on the radio,” says the singer.

“Today, after so many albums and successes, I feel a joy that is difficult to describe.”

The parents Glória Maria Barbosa and João Barbosa also give testimony about their son’s career.

The time in Exaltasamba will be celebrated with the participation of Péricles, who will sing “Jogo da Sedutor/Livre Pra Voar” and “Tá Vendo Quem Lua” with his exbandmate.

The show in honor of Thiaguinho marks the return of Som Brasil, now in a new format and produced by the team behind the show Conversa com Bial.

Founded in 1981, Som Brasil pays tribute to big names like Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes and Ivan Lins. The idea is to continue with conversations and saving unpublished stories in the next issues.

“I am delighted that ‘Conversa’ has become this center, this nucleus, this boiling point for this type of production in the different windows of Globo. The program has completed 1,000 issues and we are proud of everything we do,” commented Pedro Bial.

“And that came a lot from our other productions, like the specials with Arnaldo Antunes, Erasmo Carlos, Chitãozinho & Xororó and others,” he adds.

The special will be repeated on Multishow on Thursday (11/11) at 8 p.m. and is also available on Globoplay.
