The world’s worst McDonald’s in Ottawa will close after 40 years in business

The world’s worst McDonald’s restaurant in Ottawa will close after 40 years in business. The problem is not in the quality of the food but in this Rideau Street restaurant it is caused by the customers.

Over the past few years, more than 900 calls have been made to police about fights, including one involving a raccoon.

So the lease on this restaurant simply won’t be renewed, reports Web.

It was the owner of the Rideau Street building, Peter Crosthwaite, who confirmed to CTV that the franchisee had decided not to renew.

The restaurant was dubbed “the worst McDo” by a former manager of the place. This establishment had made headlines and spread on social media due to a general dispute that erupted inside in 2013.

Footage uploaded to YouTube showed customers exchanging punches while a man pulled a raccoon out of his jacket.

Constant fighting and troubled customers prompted more than 800 calls to the police in 2018 alone, forcing the restaurant to abandon its 24-hour schedule.

Despite this measure, Ottawa Police reported that they still received more than 150 calls over the past year.
