Redfall is Microsoft’s next big game. Developed by Arkane, it is expected to be released next May and will feature a new gameplay trailer shortly. In the meantime, the game brings bad news, because after learning that it requires a mandatory connection to play it and that it is sold for € 79.99, today it is the physical edition of the game that is hers speaks.
No disc in Redfall Physical Edition
In fact, it seems that the physical edition of the game doesn’t come with a disc, just a code. The bad news appeared on the Bethesda website. In the game’s FAQ, available on the publisher’s website, a question refers to the codes present in the game’s physical editions.
We then learn that physical Xbox copies contain Xbox Play Anywhere codes that can be added to Xbox Series X|S or PC. This way you can enjoy the game on both media and use the same backup at no additional cost.

Everything suggests that there will be no Blu-ray in the boxes of the physical Xbox editions. Instead, you have a code that can be redeemed on both console and the Xbox PC app.
Of course, this is a real disappointment for fans of physical editions, who are increasingly concerned about Microsoft’s decisions and policies in favor of the dematerialized format.
