The OSM will offer an outdoor show in Rosemère

The Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) will be a guest at the Laurentians on Saturday night as part of the Rosemère community’s Citizens’ Day.

This show in the heart of nature in the school park of the Sacré-Coeur day school will allow almost 10,000 people to enjoy their evening, which will start with a short performance by the Stage Band of the Sacré-Coeur day school, accompanied by the OSM.

“This is an exceptional event for citizens who will have the opportunity to attend a great concert in the heart of nature very close to their homes,” Rosemère Mayor Eric Westram said in a statement.

Under the motto Stories and Legends from Around the World, the OSM musicians present several tracks known as “Moonlight”, “Scheherazade” and “The Night Owl”. Everything will be presented by actress Magalie Lépine-Blondeau, who will act as speaker of the event.

The city will also take the opportunity to pay tribute to famed Rosemer resident and hockey player Mike Bossy, who died of lung cancer last April.

“The theme of legends will take on its full meaning this evening,” it said in a press release.
