The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur laments the decision to build a River House in a remote location

The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur has bemoaned his decision to buy a property that is only accessible from a river.

The 58-year-old presenter, who has built a real estate empire alongside his TV career, shared a video on Instagram showing the home in Neverfail Bay, New South Wales.

‘Hey! Let’s build a concrete river house accessible only to boats. What a wonderful idea, I mean how hard can it be?’ he joked alongside a video of a concrete truck being towed onto a boat.

He added he “thinks it’s worth it” and “watching the space”.

Larry and his wife Sylvie spent $1 million on the run-down property in 2019.

The property was last sold in 1999 for $575,000.

In October, Larry took his followers on a tour of the house, which has fallen into disrepair, with the TV star deciding to see the lighter side of the hard work.

‘OK. So I thought about it and maybe I don’t need to renovate,” Larry said, showing the inside of the house.

“I have a roof over my head, I have a nice kitchen, I have some whole peeled tomatoes,” he added, clearly sarcastic.

“I can cook on the thing, it’s air conditioned which is great, there’s a comfy bed and the latest TV to watch The Morning Show.”

Big task:

Larry was obviously joking that the house was falling apart and needed a lot of work to put it back together.

Showing off his sense of humor, the TV star added in the video’s caption, “Um, did I accidentally buy a meth lab???”

Larry previously shared a clip of the run-down place with him, saying he and his wife Sylvie are trying to turn this dangerously run-down, massive termite nest into a fabulous industrial boho love nest.

Larry went on to explain that the renovation is an “ambitious marriage-testing project.”

“It’s going to be either AMAZING or an absolute freaking disaster,” he added. “In any case, it’s going to be great insta content…check out this space, wish us luck.”

Larry and Sylvie have assembled an impressive property portfolio across New South Wales.

They bought an architecturally designed weekender, also in Berowra Waters, in 2019 for $1.1 million.

Around the same time, the Emdurs spent $2.15 million on a stylish shipping container home in Kangaroo Valley.

The home blends steel, glass and polished concrete floors with eco-friendly features like solar panels with battery bank and rainwater harvesting.

Larry also recently sold his Bondi Beach investment property earlier this year.
