The Montreal Auto Show returns after a two-year absence

Two years after a compulsory hiatus, the 78th edition of the Montreal Auto Show is preparing to open its doors tomorrow at the Palais des Congrès to present the manufacturers’ innovations alongside part of the Luc Poirier collection.

“COVID, Parts Crisis, Labor Shortage. We walk around the dealerships, there are no vehicles, it was very difficult for them,” Luis Pereira, managing director of the Montreal Auto Show (SIAM), shared in an interview with the Journal on Thursday.

This year Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, Lexus, Mini and VinFast are presenting their electric cars.

“There are 67 models of electric vehicles at the fair,” proudly presents his number 1.

Luxurious collection

Among the surprises we mention part of Luc Poirier’s collection of luxury vehicles, including a dozen Ferraris such as the 288 GTO, La Ferrari Aperta, the F40 and the F50.

His Porsches, a BMW and the new McLaren Artura will also be on display.

Automobiles Etcetera shows two Bugattis, a Maserati and a Rolls Royce Phantom. Modified Shelby cars, including the Daytona, will be included.

For its part, the CAA-Quebec will also allow visitors to take test drives.
