The hosts of the Met Gala 2022 are Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and others.

Get ready for some serious red carpet magic.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced on Thursday that Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda will be its Met Gala 2022 co-chairs.

On May 2, the museum will host the annual fashion extravaganza, which will bring together the hottest faces in Hollywood and the fashion world.

Miranda has been named as one of the co-hosts of the 2020 gala, which has been canceled due to the pandemic, and this will be his first visit to the glitzy event.

Lively, Reynolds and King have all attended previous Met Galas, with the first in years showing some memorable red carpet looks, including a lavish burgundy Versace gown and studded headpiece in 2018.

This year’s theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” to coincide with a museum exhibition of the same name, so expect celebrities to showcase some of America’s iconic designers.

Although the 2021 Met Gala was delayed until September due to the ongoing pandemic, there was no shortage of catchy looks (who could forget Kim Kardashian’s mask dress?).

Just a few months later, another gala awaits us, and the event will return to its traditional “first Monday in May” schedule.

In 2022, Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri and Anna Wintour will remain honorary co-chairs of the Met Gala in 2022, according to the museum.

While fashion aficionados look forward to seeing wild creations on the red carpet each year, the gala also serves as the Costume Institute’s main source of funding for hosting and producing its stunning exhibitions and publications.

Speaking of exhibitions, In America: An Anthology of Fashion will open at the museum on May 7, following In America: A Fashion Lexicon, which premiered after the Met Gala in September 2021.

The show, which runs until September 5, “will explore the foundations of American fashion through a series of sartorial shows,” including 100 pieces of American fashion from the 19th century to the mid-to-late 20th century.

A special feature of the second part of the museum’s In America series will be fashion snapshots in each exhibition room, created by eight leading filmmakers.

Janika Bravo, Sofia Coppola, Julie Dash, Tom Ford, Regina King, Martin Scorsese, Autumn de Wilde and Chloe Zhao will create vignettes with their take on American fashion, providing “a detailed portrait of American fashion and the people who have defined it this year.” key period.

As for us, we are ready for the key moments on the red carpet of this year’s gala.
