We know it’s only January, but here’s some news to hold you back until the first Monday in May. The Co-Chairs for the 2023 Met Gala have been announced. The lineup includes longtime Chanel collaborator Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Dua Lipa and Roger Federer (the latter must have been the reputation of noted tennis fan Anna Wintour). The stars who are regulars on the Met Gala red carpet will join stars like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who co-chaired in 2022. Naomi Osaka and Billie Eilish were among some of the stars co-chairing 2021.

This year’s Met Gala is in honor of Karl Lagerfeld and will be accompanied by an exhibition, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, which follows the late designer’s work. Lagerfeld managed Chanel and Fendi until his death in 2019. With a career spanning decades, we’re sure the designer’s legacy will inspire many stunning red carpet moments, and we expect the co-chairs to be the most themed guests Event. Like you, we have one question: will Rihanna be there this year?

Last year’s Gilded Glamor theme brought us notable moments like Kim Kardashian’s Marilyn Monroe dress controversy, more than one person who looked like Jared Leto, and plenty of themed fashion and beauty moments. This is our Super Bowl, after all.

Keep in touch.
