Il Grande Salto is a film starring 40-year-old Rufetto and Nello (Giorgio Tirabassi and Ricky Memphis), two clumsy robbers who, after four years in prison for a failed robbery, live in a neighborhood on the Roman outskirts. Mediocre lives with all the downsides of the case in search of a ransom and a new heist project that could be the real turning point for her. However, winning back the business and, above all, bringing it to a successful conclusion is anything but easy: in this way they are convinced that fate is not on their side. A bittersweet comedy by director and performer Giorgio Tirabassi. The cast, on the other hand, is made up of young actors and pillars of Italian cinema and theatre, from Paola Tiziana Cruciani and Gianfelice Imparato – who needs no introduction – to newcomers Cristiano Di Pietra and Federica Carruba, alongside Roberta Mattei, Mia Benedetta, Salvatore Striano and Toscano Liz Solari. Icing on the cake Marco Giallini in the role of a Roma leader, Valerio Mastandrea and Paquale “Lillo” Petrolo who inevitably shine, albeit in rather marginal roles.
