The film’s projected opening day is just over $120 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter, firmly placing it as the second-best domestic premiere of the pandemic era behind Spiderman: No Way Home which debuted with a ludicrous $260.1 million on its way to over $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office.

While it’s unbelievable Batman peaks with the latest Marvel movie, it’s a big win for Warner Bros., especially when you consider that Batman not only is it a much darker film, but it’s almost three hours long. The film’s Friday premiere included $21.6 million in Thursday previews and fan screenings at Imax theaters Tuesday and Wednesday.
