The Bachelors 2023: Ex-stars hit out at Tash Candyce over shock return

Bachelor franchise stars brutally lash out at ‘villain’ Tash Candyce as she returns to the show just two days after she left

The Bachelors star Tash Candyce is facing criticism for returning to the Channel 10 show just two days after leaving on Wednesday’s episode.

Florence Moerenhout and Jake Ellis, who previously starred on Bachelor in Paradise, cited the backlash in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.

The former believes the 31-year-old only came back for airtime and not to win suitor Jed McIntosh’s heart, as she told producers.

Florence doubted that Jed would be Tash’s true love and speculated it was the producers who were pushing her to return to the villa.

She opened up about how she’d been asked to come back while on The Bachelor, so she suspected the same thing happened to Tash this year.

Jake then revealed that he met the reality TV “bad guy” a few years ago.

He met her a few times during her previous engagement to Michael Turnbull, who also starred in Bachelor in Paradise and the first season of The Bachelorette.

“What you see on TV is 100 percent who she is,” he said.

Jake said she wanted to be on a reality TV show for five years, so she researched the best way to maximize screen time.

“I think she just finished reading the How to Be the Bad Guy manual and just plays it to the tee so she gets a lot of airtime,” he said.

Despite his skepticism about her motives, Jake revealed that he was excited to see Tash’s future escapades.

According to Tash, she came back to The Bachelors because she realized how much she missed Jed as soon as she got home.

“I want to surprise him… I want Jed back, and if I want something, I’ll get it,” she said.

It remains to be seen if their reunion ends well as the action continues in Sunday night’s episode.

Despite a major upset and intriguing storylines, The Bachelors has struggled with ratings this year and is the latest in a string of flops for Channel 10.
