(ANSA) — ROME, FEBRUARY 16 — Minister Antonio Tajani met with State Councilor and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Yi, in Farnesina. The conversation focuses on the most important dossiers and the war in Ukraine. Tajani reiterated the need to put pressure on Moscow to promote conditions of a “just peace” through support for diplomacy, effective sanctions, humanitarian assistance and justice for victims. “China has a fundamental role to play in promoting peace. I am sure that Beijing is ready to engage in this direction,” said Tajani. (HAND).
