Media concentration affects democracy says Atilio Boron

Syria will continue to support the struggle of the Palestinian people

“We stand with the Palestinians in the face of attempts to liquidate their cause and their confrontation with racist Israeli practices,” said Foreign Minister Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency ( UNRWA),

He also condemned the attacks by Israeli settlers on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem and the repeated attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

He reiterated that Syria would continue to provide UNRWA with the necessary support to continue its work, which is helping to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, improve their living standards and meet their growing needs.

The Chancellor also rejected attempts to undermine the role of this humanitarian body.

For his part, Lazzarini thanked the Syrian government for its efforts and cooperation in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinians.

Around 600,000 Palestinian refugees live in 14 camps in Syria, the largest of which is Yarmouk near Damascus, which was severely devastated during the war.
